Excellent design; Quality construction; functional. I have tried several other brands, Boyt is far-and-away my favorite and this case in particular.

These are great cases – the best available. I wish Boyt hadn’t discontinued the 5 star case for scoped rifles that had a flap and buckles instead of the zipper (similar to the one they still make for shotguns).

I don’t have this case specifically, what I do have is a case by description seams to be the same with a few changes. What i think i have is the early version of this case as I have owned it for 30 some years. This newer model seams to have a nylon outer shell with leather trim where mine is black canvas with a brushed medium brown leather trim with riveted carry handles. Now I don’t generally write reviews so for me to write this one is, well, remarkable. I purchased this case when I bought my Remington 700 in 6mm an odd choice I know but that’s another story. Over the years it’s gone through some changes and i have it to this day because it is wicked accurate with a custom barrel and some well made hand loads and it’s versatile through a range of different bullet applications. The rifle is in a laminated stock has a highly blued and an extremely highly polished action and barrel. Every time I pull this gun out of the case it’s an attention getter and it has become a prized possession. It has always been stored in my Boyt gun case since it was new and still looks the same to day. Why all of this, well, so you can understand that I won’t store my rifle in just any case. I didn’t buy a Boyt case because I knew of them I purchased boyt case because I needed a case and then learned about them. The Boyt gun cases are well thought out, well made and have a level of protection you won’t find in other case’s. For the quality of workmanship and material’s you won’t find a better case at any price, (just my opinion).
Now my case was made here in the U.S.A it says so right on the Name Label on the outside of the case. As for Chinese or Canadian made, it really makes no difference so as long as Boyt requires quality material and parts in their product the labor to sew the pieces together is where the bargain is. And, Boyt gives an unheard of Lifetime Warrantee on the case who does that ?. A company who knows their product and a company who wants your repeat business. I’m looking at cases to day 1/15/2018 because many of my less expensive case’s have self destructed just standing around in the closet, where my Boyt case has taken every abuse I could give it and still protect it’s contents. The Boyt cases are so well made mine have survived over 30 years and still look new albeit for a little range dirt and general handling grime. From this day on all my guns will be protected with Boyt cases, Period.
A: Randy,
That would depend on how long your gun is and how high your scope is. The scoped portion of this case is 9.25" tall. If you have further questions feel free to call customer service at 1-800-550-2698
Thanks
Lori
A: Hi Rick,
We suggest adding two inches to the overall length of your firearm to ensure a proper fit. We would suggest the 44" option of this specific case. If you have any further questions please let us know.
Thank you,
Briana
