Just received the suitcase. Haven’t used it yet, but I can’t wait to give it a try. Quality is excellent, craftsmanship is what I expect from Boyds products, great. Seems like it should hold up for years of travel.

Very good bags if heavy.
I originally had wanted to get the Filson rolling suitcases but was put off by their price. Bought the smaller Mud River rolling bag first. It was fine for a 5-day trip. Then bought the larger one for a longer trip. It held a surprising amount of stuff. In particular, the front pocket held shirts, underwear, socks while leaving room in the body of the bag for everything else. And both bags held up well to being checked through.
Very pleased with both. Only wish they could be lighter. But that might be the penalty for beinf so sturdy.
[And by the way, I haven’t given five stars to anything yet.]
A: This material is not a waterproof material nor is it water resistant as it's made from a nylon material. We don't have a recommendation on what product to use, but there are waterproof sealers out there that you can try.
Thanks,
Sarah
