I purchased one of these the other day and I am thoroughly disappointed. It is not even easily adjustable with two hands, let alone one. The other issue is length. It isn’t long enough to comfortably carry a long gun and you can forget about using for it stabilization. The only redeeming feature is the talon swivels.

90% of all my rifles are outfitted with the Super Sling +2 . It’s slightly wider width, durability, dries quick, adjusts in micro seconds and unbreakable talon clasps make them my go-to sling! 100% satisfied!!! Thank you for making an outstanding product!

These are excellent IF you can find an older one, which have metal hardware and no thumb loop. The newer ones, with the thumb loop and a plastic ring at the adjustment point, are 3 inches shorter. They might work for a youth size rifle, but I can barely use it as a hasty sling when wearing light, short-sleeved shirt, and not at all in winter clothing.

These used to be excellent, but the newer ones, with the thumb loop, are too short. At the longest setting, I can just barely use it as a hasty sling IF I’m wearing a short sleeve shirt. It won’t go around my arm at all in winter clothing., and I’m not terribly muscular. it would be OK on a youth size rifle.

I installed this on my Steyr 17HMR scout rifle. The Talon quick release swivels were easy enough to install. No fraying on the nylon and the buckles look good. Once I read the instructions, I was like,” Wow, it’s that easy.” For me when extended it is long enough to use as a hasty sling with plenty of room to spare. I’m 5’10 medium build and frame. Rifles and arm lengths I’m sure can vary its usage in that capacity though. Once I gave it a good set, I couldn’t get it to move. I’m pretty impressed with it so far. I have had it and used it for two months now and it is still good as new.

    David N,

I have had Superlsings on all of my rifles for the last 18 years and it has never failed to preform is advertised. It is the best sling i have ever owned, in fact i have just bought two more for my son and daughters new rifles. I WILL NEVER USE ANY OTHER RIFLE SLING.

    This sling is good for:
    1. Taking your firearm for a walk.
    2. Use as a hasty sling

This sling is not good for:
    1. Anything other than the above two points.

I do prefer the Talon Quick Release Sling Swivels over Uncle Mike’s Quick Detachable Super Swivels.

I DO NOT like that the sling is made in China. I have gladly paid more for US-made products. However, there are very few choices in today’s sling market. 🙁

Could not get it to work as shown in the video; and no matter what I do, I can’t make it long enough to aid in shot stabilization. It should work for carrying my shotgun out to the blind, but it’s a disappointment all in all.

I like to find just the right sling for each rifle I own. I got this for my Ruger American All-Weather rifle, short action, caliber 7mm-08 Rem. It is just about the perfect sling for this rifle. Adjusted all the way up, has only a little slack and thus stays close to the rifle for storage in security cabinet, yet plenty of down adjustment for carrying and shooting. Quality materials, very easy to adjust and use. Mine is black and has the Talon quick release swivels which I really like because unlike Uncle Mike’s swivels there’s no spinning thumb nut on the swivels that never stays tight, so this is set and forget. An excellent utility nylon sling, and the thumb loop is a Godsend, keeps the rifle naturally tight to your body and really saves on hand fatigue during extended hikes, especially in cold weather.

Instructions do not match the sling. There is no way to make a solid adjustment in sling length. The swivels seem strong enough but will not work on my AdTac RM 10/22 stocks lower attachment. I do not want to have to modify a brand new sling to make it work. As I said the length adjustment is useless as set up.

I too was shopping at my local ‘Wally World’ and purchased this same sling (The Original Super Sling 2+). I find it to be well made with top quality webbing and mine has the “The BRUTE” E-Z Detachable Sling Swivels which have full length threaded lugs on both sides of the attachment point on the rifle. The fully thread bolt also has an “O” ring which easily locks the bolt to the swivel so it won’t back out as you carry the rifle. My packaging also notes the Made & Printed in China info. Unlike Mr. Longwell’s packaging the front panel of mine is clearly marked with 3/4 inch tall letters stating “GAURANTEED FOREVER” with an infinity sign between the words. I’m going to give mine a shoot and see if the if it holds up. In the event that it fails I will return here and post an updated review with the details.

I purchased a couple of Super-Sling 2+s about a year ago. I installed them on Ruger rifles. The instillation was very easy, using the TALON Quick-Release swivels. The instructions on the hanging card made it very easy to learn how to position the sling. On the bottom of the hanging card is a flying Goose logo with the words: GUARANTEED FOREVER AND MADE IN USA,
Recently I purchased another Super-Sling 2+ while shopping at Wal-Mart. When I started to install the sling I noticed it did not have the TALON Quick-Release swivels. It has black plastic loops on the ends of the sling. There are long threaded screws that need to be removed and screwed back into the loops and base eyelet on the gun. I was installing the sling on a new Ruger Gunsite Scout Rifle. I made a decision not to trust using this sling on my new expensive stainless .308.
I also noticed the hanging card had “The Original Super-Sling 2+” on the top front and on the bottom back of the card printed “MADE IN CHINA” “PRINTED IN CHINA” no GUARANTEED FOREVER

Q: I have 2 of these, one each green or black. I want a second black one. You advertise the strap as available with or without the swivels. I do NOT want the swivels. Your ordering instructions don't list a "none swivel" option. Can the swivels be user removed?
— Asked by Alec Jones on December 19, 2018
A: Alec, We are actually discontinuing the slings without swivels. If you look in our clearance section you will find what you are looking for. The item number is TP-13 if that helps you at all. Lori
