I purchased my first pair from Cabelas. Based on sizing recommendations on their website I purchased a size Medium because I wanted a snug fit. The gloves fit well but a little short in the wrist area. I wore them for years and loved them but finally decided to get a larger pair. The second pair I purchased in size Large and they fit even better. My original pair were made of calfskin which is very durable and a little stiff until broken in. But once broken in they felt great. When I purchased the first pair they were marketed as “Bob Allen Calfskin Shooting Gloves”. Cabelas no longer carries them so I purchased my second pair directly from this site. The second pair are made of nappa kid leather which is much softer and pliable when new. They are softer to the touch and feel a bit thinner too. They also wore out much quicker and I am in need of replacing them but don’t think I will due to the leather now being used. My original pair which I still have as a backup have less wear even though they are older and in use longer. I wish they were still made of calfskin because the original gloves were great and lasted. these nappa kidd gloves have not lasted as long and there is a tear in the leather between the thumb and index finger.
As for customer service, I had an issue with the second pair when it arrived. One of the seams was undone upon arrival. I emailed and got a return ASAP so thank you.
