Boyt Unlined Deer Skin Gloves

Cheap grade of leather, sewing inconsistent. Not even close to the quality of a pair I have from about 5 years ago.

I am pleased to provide a review of a pair of Boyt deer skin hunting gloves size Xl that I have recently bought from a specialised outdoor supplier based in the UK.

I was attracted to buy these gloves via the internet for three main reasons. Firstly they were advertised at an attractive price. Secondly, the construction using fine deer skin and finally, that they were available in XL size.

On arrival, the gloves met the above expectations, but how do they perform? I have large hands normally taking a size 13 UK glove size.

The construction and quality of material are simply fantastic. The stitching and finish show great care and expertise in their assembly. The gloves actually carry a sewn in label stating ‘.made in Korea’. They are embossed with the corporate logo BOYT.

The deer skin is really supple and folds to the contours of the hands like magic. The leather is thin, thus allowing great dexterity. Whilst advertised as long fitting in the cuff area, I actually find the gloves a tiny bit on the short side. Equally, size XL does not really equate to a UK size 13 and BOYT do not seem to make an XXL size. In a perfect world, an XXL size would fit me better. However, these gloves provide a comfortable snug fit. May be with use they will stretch a little. So, as regards size expect snug fit unless you are able to opt for the next size up. Remember, they are unlined.

In conclusion, a fantastic pair of quality gloves made to high standards with super fine deer skin. I am looking forward to years of use from them. Highly recommended.
